Putting a color filter on the background requires outlining the horse so it doesn't change color. That means that the horse's shape is at the mercy of whomever is doing the outlining. And that bright green background is pretty garish.
It's an ugly photo.

You'd think with the amount of money at their disposal they could actually hire someone with a smidge of talent to create their promotional shots for their stallions. I never have understood some of the big name farms using preschool level talent.

Well perhaps this person is skilled at editing photos, just not ones of horses. If you haven't been around horses long enough, I bet it's hard to edit a picture of one.

Thanks for sharing your photos. Normandy Invasion is a very handsome boy. The Lumber Guy reminds me of an Arabian. And Frost Giant looks so much like his dad.

Standing at the same farm as Win Willy is the far less accomplished, but much fancier pedigreed, Bold Legacy. He is the 2000 model by Seattle Slew o/o Cara Rafaela. He was bred by Stud TNT before they sold the mare to Darley, and raced by John Oxley.

I know its not a new picture but does anyone else think Trappe Shot looks weird in his conformation picture? I mean like his head/neck is too little for his ginormous body? Is he just super fat or is it just the photo? Flatter is the same way with a huge body and an unattractive head. Has anyone seen them in person?

Chrome is still so much nicer than I expect him to be. That left front looks off though. I don't remember that.

They are shooting below him making his legs look short, and he looks quite long (back, neck), but it might be the angle. I do remember he turns out in front.
He's quite striking though.

Maybe because they did not intend for it to be an 'official' conformation shot, but more of a 'look how shiny and happy he is' photo?
And they took it while he's standing fetlock deep in grass because he's quieter standing in grass?

He is taller than he appears here but he is long in back.
