Was that the really huge filly that Baffert trained who won stakes on dirt and turf?
Yes, the big bay filly. I think she was a $1.9 million 2-year-old?

And Cassatt finished first I believe in her stakes --and turf debut-- but was DQ'ed.

Thanks for the correction. Close finish regardless; it looks like she has a future on the grass.

Good Genes (full to Awesome Feather) got it done on his 3rd try today at GP. FL-bred company suited him.

ahhhh I love those dappled greys. If only they stayed that way.

Just Talkin, the full sister to Lady Shipman, won her debut, a 7 1/2-furlong MSW on the grass at Gulfstream.

Here is a real treat. This is Blind Luck's two-year-old colt galloping on the track for the first time. The son of Giant's Causeway has just been named I'm A Lucky Guy.

I adored Blind Luck, but she wasn't the most elegantly conformed mare. The colt seems to look a bit more like his sire in the body (which is a good thing, IMHO), but I love seeing that he has his mom's famously flagged, high tail set. :D

Yeah, he does that high tail well, lol. I just hope he doesn't have his mom's racing style. It gave me a chuckle that the owner who bought out the partners is the heart surgeon. Blind Luck gave the rest of us near heart attacks with her fast closing barely get there finishes.

For some reason, Larry had fits trying to pronounce his name. Gave us Adriatic King, Adiradic Kid, a couple others that I'm pretty sure weren't Adirondack.
I'm always happy when I see the late, lamented Lawyer Ron's offspring win, and this horse has been an honest, hard-trying sort. I hope some breeding farm will give this horse a chance at stud at the end of his career, which may be soon for this seven-year-old.

He's a gelding. Also, it was Richard Grunder. Pronunciation is not one of his strong points.

Oops...I got a Tampa Bay/Gulfstream race totally mixed up. Sorry, Larry.
FWIW...I looked up Adirondack King on Bloodhorse, and he's still listed as a colt. Of course, it's Bloodhorse, so.... :P

De Treville was just scratched in the post parade by order of the vet and the stewards. :?: :(

I wonder what was up with that. Clearly, he looked off to them. But did he do something to himself between when he walked over and the post parade?
