Too bad they don't have a blood test for CEM that would detect it in stallions. Test breeding like this seems so archaic.

Old Friends posted an update on their FB page. Comments are interesting. https://www.facebook.com/oldfriendsequine/

An Update from Michael about War Emblem.

I've always felt that OF should consider gelding some of the studs, but in this case they didn't seem to have much choice.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

That second photo is a bit unsettling. If War Emblem were a bear or lion, you would be backing up fast from what looks like a predator wanting to take a chunk out of you.
And I'm not positive that's not what's going on there. :P ;)

Ok. Just informing, in case you didn't know horses yawned. Of course, I know you know that.... but some internet horse fanatics may not ;-)

On a happt note, I've seen pics of him with Michael Blowen - sounds like they are bonding.

yawning... or showing off his chompers as a warning? ;)

i'm glad he and michael are bonding. i know he 's a loner type of horse but it makes me feel good that he has someone he looks forward to seeing (not sure how else to word that).

That looks like a sleepy boy to me.
He actually looks a lot happier in these most recent photos. Maybe he's settling in.
