I'm especially interested in Swag(JPN), as I liked his dam Jolly Dance(JPN)(2001M. Dance in the Dark x Peterhof's Patea) while she was racing.



The grey mare, multiple G2 winner, also finished 3rd to Daiwa Major(JPN) in the G1 Yasuda Kinen 2007.
And there was a TBC poster who liked her, too, at that time.....

I don't think that Lovin Empire went through a sale.
Nagako Fujita, spouse of Yoshio Fujita (died in 2008), owned that filly in Japan.
She has her dam Ravi's Lovin(USA)(o/o Lu Ravi), too.
The Fujitas races and breeds some horses in the US.
I have no idea about who Gary Barber is.
So, the filly was sold privately to Gary Barber?
If not, Nagako Fujita may just deposit the filly with him?

Gary Barber is heavily into racing (along with his brother, Cecil). His best horses in recent memory are Jack Milton, Lexie Lou, Kaigun and Comma to the Top. He's also been in partnerships with Team Valor. His horses now are spread all over the place, with a number of different trainers.

I'm not sure why he'd go to Japan to buy yearlings privately, but he is part of the partnership that owns Big Cazanova (ARG) and was in some Team Valor partnerships with imported horses, so....

Awww... that's VERY interesting.
Now I guess that KI Farm will race her themselves in the US, too.
KI Farm is an up-and-coming breeder in Japan.
Their operation, still small, can't be compared to the SHADAI group.
But they made big success with the 2013 HOTY Lord Kanaloa(JPN)[King Kamehameha x Lady Blossom (o/o Saratoga Dew)] recently. And it looks like that they try to expand their business.
