One I have been waiting for, Fourth Watch, by Tapit out of Jera, making her a 1/2 sister Jeranimo, broke her maiden at SA in race 3 on the downhill turf. First time out for the $600,000 yearling purchase.

Ten Blessings, a three-year-old son of Smart Strike and Indian Blessing, just won the 9th at Santa Anita, a 6 furlong MSW on the dirt. The big colt looked very good.

A real challenge to those who follow bullet bob workout patterns, this guy might be more like sleepy bob and not enjoy the AM?
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Tizahandful (Tiz Wonderful x Desert Stormer) broke her maiden today at FG in try #2. Seemed to like the 5.5F turf.

Third place was our filly, Storm Temple Pilot (Temple City x Launchastorm). Her second dam is a half to Sharp Cat and Royal Anthem :D

His trainer Mikio Matsunaga revealed the plan for his trainee today.

The Tapit 3yo colt has already been nominated to the Triple Crown races in the states.
If he finishes in the top two in the UAE Derby, he will be pointed to the the Kentucky Derby at Chrchill downs.
But if he fails to earn enough points in the UAE Derby, he will switch to the G1 Belmont Stakes with a prep run in the Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont Park.

It does sound like Koji Maeda, who had Sunday Break(JPN) in 2002, really wants to give his horse a shot in the US Triple Crown races again. :D :D :D

Go, Lani!!

I was hoping Marking (Bernardini x Seventh Street) would do well today in the Al Shindagha Sprint at Meydan, but the colt stumbled and dumped his jockey right out of the gate. Better luck next time.

He was acting up quite a bit while they were trying to load, too.

He raced at the back of the pack most of the way, finishing midpack. Pletcher said before the race that he would benefit from a start or 2. I still think that's code for, "don't expect much," but maybe he'll mature over the spring.
He will try again on Sunday at GP, R10.

Kiaran is still listed as his trainer, so perhaps he is just there for the Carnival (like 'Chrome and Frosted) and will return to the States after the World Cup card.
