Reporting from Delta Downs on the events of the day
where we have nine running for BOTS Glory
But sadly, 2 who are MIA today

Stark is busy training & missed his flight
John Henry is still in the hospital recuperating
from his last race
We wish him a speedy recovery

Turns out after all --- My "Prediction" was wrong
It was not the BOTS = "Battle Of The STUDS"

Instead it turned into the battle of the FILLIES

When the gates opened ---
Criminal Type took off like a bat out of hell

It didn't take very long for the "Hell"
to turn into Heaven for the Fillies

Catalina overtook Criminal Type
like a werewolf during the full moon

Meanwhile the rest of the runners were chasing
Those 2 Tails except for Ruffian & Tiger Dancer
Who eventually realized they were in a horse race
Instead of a roundtable discussion about Hay Varieties ...
Fashionable Bridles and some odd thing about Chippendales -
although I have no idea why horses Are talking about chipmunks?

At the top of the stretch things began to heat up
As Catalina in command of the lead had Criminal Type Chasing her tail

But suddenly Dusty and Real Quiet got their Mojo running fast & furious

Cigarshop finally woke up and caught up to the front running four

Blunny ran pretty good for the first half of the race
But faded in the home stretch

Oaklawn Capper never showed much speed

Ruffian must've left her "Inner Cheetah"
back at the Barn snoozing

And Poor Tiger Dancer ran not with a Roar
But more with A Very Quiet Purrr

The final furlong turned into A 3-way match race

Catalina still in command of the lead
Dusty and Real Quiet side by side -
Stride for stride - neck & neck

CigarShop and Criminal Type still running strong
Tucked in just off the tails of Dusty & RQ

Blunny trying to keep up

And a huge gap back to
Oaklawn Capper & Ruffian

Followed by Tiger Dancer
Who now seems to be mumbling to herself about some Cat House

At the wire it was a Photo Finish

Emerging as the winner was Catalina
But the photo revealed a dead heat for 2nd
Between Dusty / RQ
Luckily the Bridesmaid Gown is one size fits all!

Finishing in third was CIGARSHOP
And living up to his reputation as "Master-Thief"
Criminal Type stole "The Precious"

The final finish and money earned
