I guess I'll wait and see what he ultimately sells for. The strategy for online auctions is always waiting until the last possible minute. If he goes for a decent price, then it's weird for a TB stud, but whatever, I suppose.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

Heading out to Gulfstream today and got to thinking of some of the newer stallions I've had the pleasure of seeing when they were 2 and 3 - checked on a few and got curious about Jackson Bend but can't find anything on him at Journeyman or anywhere else - does anyone know if he's still having problems or what happened?

Very curious about Jackson Bend myself. Seems to have vanished...

Yeah he didn't cover any mares in 2015(or ever).

I'm afraid that we may find out the injuries he suffered in that on-track collision have left him with permanent...or at least long-lasting...back problems that make it difficult to breed.

I posted questions on Bloodhorse several months ago asking about Jackson Bend.

Someone replied that he is infertile, although this wasn't someone from the connections or from Bloodhorse that answered, so it's unofficial.

Aww, disappointing if true - he had so much try in him (and I love a liver chesnut  )

According to the Korean Stud Book both Bob and John and Musket Man were imported to Korea in 2016 (MM three days ago).
Heard Old Fashioned is joining them. He's no longer listed on the Taylor Made site.

Friesan Fire is sooooooo gorgeous. I'm glad he is doing so well.
Freedom Child is such a sassy boy, I love how exuberant he is putting on a show. :-)

Thanks for the pictures from Country/Merryland, especially the ones of Friesan Fire. I've been a fan of his since his 2-yr-old year. Wonderful that he is proving to be at least a useful sire. He had a limited first crop of only 29 runners from lower-level broodmares. Of those, he's had at least 10 winners with at least three stakes horses and one stakes winner. He's the #1 mid-Atlantic first crop sire. If he could only get lucky to attract some better class broodmares...anyway, I will always hope for the best for him.

No announcement and no export report yet. He's not listed as an imported stallion in the Korean Stud Book yet. So far, it shows On Eagles Wings (dam Soaring Softly), Tout, and Divine Park as new imports, along with the two mentioned above.

Imported Stallion search by year: http://studbook.kra.co.kr/eng/html/eng_imp_bhr_list.jsp

This article talks only about Bob and John, Musket Man, and Tout as new to the Korean stallion roster in 2016.

Hopefully, he'll find a good home in a private sale. He's certainly done enough to deserve it.

Grade 2 winner Dramedy will stand 2016 for $7500 at War Horse Place in Lexington.
http://www.warhorseplace.com/index.cfm/ ... s/dramedy/

Multiple Grade 3 winner Five Iron will stand 2016 for $1000 at Starfish Stallions near Hot Springs, Arkansas. (As far as I could tell, they don't even have a website. They seem to stand a few stallions, including Hamazing Destiny, Icon Ike, Cyber Secret, and Ordained.)

Grade 2 winner Bahamian Squall will stand 2016 for $5000 at Double Diamond Farm in Ocala, FL.

Stroud's Lane Farm in Ocala, FL now has 3 stallions, all three new for 2016:
Group 2 winner Daddy Long Legs will stand 2016 for $5000 (I think he is in Chile during southern hemisphere time).
Grade 1 winner Admiral Kitten will stand 2016 for $5000.
Grade 1 winner Seek Again will stand for $8500.

Grade 2 winner Hangover Kid will stand 2016 for $3000 at Murmur Farm in Darlington, MD.

Multiple Grade 3 winner Majestic City will stand 2016 for $3500 at Questroyal North Stud in Stillwater, NY.

Grade 2 placed (and well-bred and crazy handsome) Stephanoatsee will stand 2016 at Sequel Stallions in Hudson, NY for a private fee.

Grade 2 winner Zivo will stand 2016 for $6000 at Irish Hill Century Farm in Stillwater, NY.

Lewis Michael apparently moved from Questroyal North to Circle H Farms in LA, but I don't think they have a website.

Congaree moved from Saratoga Stud to Lane's End Texas.

Summer Bird, did the maiden in foal to Declaration of War give birth yet? I did a quick look but didn't see anything.
