Bet there's a lot of owners crossing their fingers that their mare holds off a few more hours. It's always a gamble when you breed early. Can't wait to see the new babies.

We have 2 mares that are due the 1st week of Jan, one being a maiden and you never know if they will show signs (waxing, sweaating, etc) so we have started night watch early. Usually in NY the cold will keep the mares from foaling on time but it's been so warm out, we think they will foal right on time.

We have a maiden in foal to Declaration of War that's due the first week as well, but no bag yet! So far it looks like she'll go past her due date. I'm doing a foal watch one night a week at the farm and I start the 9th! Can't wait for foaling season to begin!

That Lemon Drop filly sure stretches out and what a good mom she has. So happy she's strong and healthy being a month early.

Not sure what day she foaled, but Grenobloise went into the ring at Keeneland with her itty bitty Uncle Mo yesterday. A lot of work for nothing really, she was an RNA:
