Saw this on Twitter, War Emblem at Old Friends. Thought he was still in quarantine, but apparently not. Looks like he is in a newly built paddock from the still uncoated fence.

I would guess that would be to allow people to SEE him, but not let the unwary or foolish actually get their fingers within reach of his teeth?

He's still in quarantine, just at Old Friends. That is what the double fence is for, not because he's evil <G> (I got this from my friend who was out there recently)

Comments from Michael Blowen:
War Emblem is finally here. He still must satisfy some quarantine requirements so he's not part of the regular tour just yet. But, when the weather's good, he's out for several hours. I know that winning the 2002 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes must have been a great thrill for Bob and Jill Baffert and all of those associated with this magnificent athlete. But, last week, when he finally got out of his stall and into his double-fenced, quarantine paddock he gave everyone goosebumps. He took a few steps, checked out the run-in shed, sniffed a few poops left by Rapid Redux and Amazombie, jogged around the fence line twice, jogged to the middle a reared up and roared to the heavens. In my whole life, I have never seen such an exhilarating expression of pure joy. His black coat gleaming, War Emblem declared his presence with confidence and superiority and every horse within earshot stood at attention. What a moment.

Somehow that display of machismo rings a little hollow. . . . ;)
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

To me, ''War Emblem to Old Friends'' was the greatest news story of the year 2015. :D

He is beautiful!

I thought I saw somewhere that he was out of quarantine, but I might be misremembering. I'll do some digging.

When did he arrive?

If the normal quarantine time is 33-38 days, I'm curious if the 'cover 2 mares' portion of his quarantine requirements is holding things up....

Wonder what happens to a stallion that never fulfils that requirement??

October 12th. Someone had asked that question on Facebook but I don't know if they ever responded.

I wonder if they just eventually nullify the requirement, since he won't be housed with other horses and if he ever gets out, he's clearly not going to search out any mares

Old Friends notably just never responded ;)
They've answered other questions rather promptly though I've seen....

Wouldn't that be a federal health requirement? I know it was required even for stallions that had never bred a mare just coming in for competition purposes.
