G3 winner, G2 placed Customer Base is retired. Tried running her in G3 Frankel, race she won in '13, but was excluded. Goes to Ghostzapper.

I don't really understand all of the cattiness. I am personally excited for this - Discreet Marq has some speed, Galileo looks to need some speed added to his stamina influence. Storm Cat with Galileo is a good cross.carole wrote:I feel that Starine was being sarcastic but I'm not sure.Katewerk wrote: Can you explain how so?
I love the mare, and I really look forward to seeing her go to one of the best stallions in the world.

Ah. I'm interested in pedigree patterns in TB breeding, so it was a straight up question.carole wrote:I feel that Starine was being sarcastic but I'm not sure.Katewerk wrote: Can you explain how so?

I know. Sometimes I have second thoughts about posting things on this forum these days because I am worried about getting mocked by other posters later.Izvestia wrote:I don't really understand all of the cattiness. If you read this: http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/br ... lare-stud/, their bloodstock adviser explains the reasoning behind some of those matings and why they liked Discreet Marq, in particular, for their broodmare band in Ireland. They do keep some mares in the US to visit American stallions because of the saturation of Sadler's Wells and Danehill in the bloodlines over there.

I don't understand. No one was making fun of you. The one person asked a question, the other person interpreted what you said wrong. No one was being mean to you. Just like I wasn't a couple pages back and I'm not now. If you post something or I post something, its open to interpretation since the reader can't tell how it was written.Starine wrote:I know. This quote kills me... "Mad as a hatter" Majestic Silver
“She was mad as a hatter, and unraced as a result,” Craig recalled. “But she was also the most superb athlete, who just floated over the ground, and a half-sister to a Group 1-placed mare in Profound Beauty (Ire) (Danehill). Everyone said get rid of her, but I thought that if we could get her movement, you’d get a racehorse.”

THREE HEARTS has been retired and will return to her birthplace, Denali Stud, to be a broodmare. The home-bred Graded stakes winner is booked to Distorted Humor. By Hat Trick and out of Secret Heart (both imported to the U.S. by Barry Irwin), she heads home just as her half brother, Breeders' Cup winner Pluck, registered his first winner as a popular young sire in Australia.
