Will Fame Game(JPN)(Heart's Cry) live up to his favoritism in the G1 Melbourne Cup today?

Fame Game(JPN) had no luck. :(
But Max Dynamite(FR) ran huge to finish second!! :D :D

Max Dynamite's trainer Willie Mullins is already looking towards next year’s Melbourne Cup.
“He probably won’t jump next year and I think his main aim next year will be to come back here again'', said Mullins.

Nice thread.

More of an Easy Goer fan myself. One of the rare times I prefer the Eastern horse over the California one. A huge fan of Deep Impact though.

Suzuka Mambo(JPN) died of heart failure at Arrow Stud on Feb 20th 2015. :(
That's shocking news especially as he had been improving his mares with the success of his offspring after his relatively-modest race record as a G1 winner of Sunday Silence. Champion filly Meisho Mambo(JPN) made the sire proud.

May he rest in peace.

That was a very impressive win by Sambista...the lovely, leggy mare really kicked it into high gear in the stretch.
Tachyon, since she is going to be seven very soon, do you think she will stay in training, or be retired to be a broodmare?

Sambista may be the first filly or mare to win a grade I on dirt in Japan, but the best no doubt was the Sunday Silence mare To The Victory, who beat all but Captain Steve after setting all the scorching pace in the 2001 Dubai World Cup (while besting grade I winners Aptitude, Best of the Bests, Ekraar, Aristotle, Regular Member, etc.). She really ran too good to lose that day; and if she had run on the dirt more often I'm sure she would have many more grade I titles to her name.

That was the historic win by Sambista on the tiring surface off odds 65 to 1!! :D
Japanese public didn't believe that a mare could handle the dirt so well.
She came out the race in fine order. :D
And her trainer Katsuhiko Sumii (who had Cesario, Kane Hekili, Vodka, Victoire Pisa, Epiphaneia, etc) hinted that Sambista would have another race or two before her retirement from racing.
Her next outing might be in the G1 Tokyo Daishoten 2000m dirt at Ohi on Dec 29th.
But I would love to see her run in Dubai to emulate To the Victory's success. ;)
