Nice article about the WinStar stallions being ridden with quite a few pictures as well.
None of Tiznow being ridden? I bet he's a proper candidate for the swimming pool, though.

I love this! I enjoy seeing farms keep their guys stimulated and fit. Bode looks so cute under tack, trotting out in the field.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

I remember reading a Man o' war biography that showed a picture of him being ridden early in his stud career, I'm not sure if I'd envy or pity his rider..

I know Winstar & Three chimneys ride their stallions,..are there any other farms that do?

I was lucky enough to visit Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket last summer to see Frankel. I learned that they hand-walk their stallions seven miles every day, which is three times around the property. They all go out together in a string, and I think they said that either Oasis Dream or Dansili is always in front, and Frankel is second in line. Those grooms must be in super shape!!

I thought I remembered him not being ridden, so I searched and found this:
It was pretty much the same discussion as is going on now about farms riding their stallions.

True- apparently, they tried to ride Tiznow, and he kept lowering himself and would roll to get the rider off :D He's a horse who knows what he wants.

Funny that you should mention the swimming pool- I asked about that specifically- basically the youngsters go into the pool- mostly for sales prep. No go for Tiz or any of the other stallions.

Ah, odd. You'd think those old boys would like the pool. Take some weigh off those old bones and get a nice exercise (like seniors doing water aerobics). I wonder if there's an inherent risk with taking a prized stallion to the pool, though. A lack of total control (or whatever control anyone thinks they have on a 1200lb stallion). Moreso that a yearling colt or filly would be.

But did you ask about the hyperbaric? I was at WinStar a couple of years ago and Distorted Humor was in the chamber.

When human seniors do water aerobics, they stand on the floor of the pool and swish around in the water. Swimming is hard work for horses. It's a great non-weight-bearing exercise for getting or keeping a horse fit. Stallions can be difficult enough to handle in the breeding shed. I don't imagine anyone wants them fitter or more energetic.
