Nice to hear Ward will be keeping Judy the Beauty, for now at least. She was supposed to sell last Fall, but I wouldnt be surprised if she goes back to auction next year in foal to Pharoah.

It's an A+ nick for whatever that's worth. Just hope Brandi is a correct mare. Though I imagine for $6m she's pretty nice to look upon.

PoTN only had 4 SW this year..... With 110 foals, that is less than 4%. Breeding to him is trying to make lightning strike 2x in the same place. Of course, breeding to AP is trying to make lightning strike 1x in the same place.

Medaglia d'Oro and Scat Daddy each had 10% SW! Just about all the other top sires were in the 5% range. I see that Scat Daddy stood for $35k in 2015. Did I read that he has jumped to $100k for 2016? He might be worth it....

Funny how the Tapit and Scat Daddy's appear virtually out of nowhere. But Mr P and Dynaformer also came out of nowhere. I guess the hope of securing one of these future stallion stars is what keeps the stud farms fighting over the top of each retiring crop.

And take that a step further, and look at the quality/type of stakes winners he had. Stakes winner in INDIA....

I know he's still a young stallion, but compared to others in that price range, well, he's got to be the biggest marketing hype over one horse since....damn, I can't remember

Crazily enough he had some weanlings bring some good prices at the November sale. I guess there's fewer cynical people than us armchair breeders at the actual sales

Coolmore obviously has made acquiring every intact Juvy champ for the last half dozen years a top strategy. It looks to have had mixed success.
Lookin At Lucky has turned out to be decent, Shanghai Bobby's offspring haven't made it to the track, AP will be a mystery for years, and Hansen's first foals apparently unimpressed enough that Coolmore had no problem selling him off to Korea.
But it looks like they may have struck gold with Uncle Mo (raise your hand if, like me, that was kind of a surprise ), with an Eclipse Champion from his first crop. It remains to be seen whether his precocious progeny will ever succeed at the Classic distances.

They did? Maybe they felt that there were too many, possibly better, Tapit sons out there who were going to dilute the demand for Hansen? Or maybe Korea just made them an offer they couldn't refu$e.

There was a buy-back clause in his sales contract that if his first foals succeed on the track here, they get him back.
