If she were mine, I'd approach Coolmore about a foal sharing deal to send her to Galileo.

#BC15 F&M Turf winner Stephanie's Kitten was once again a RNA at #FTNov. Reserve was $3M on mare who hammered at $2.95M.

Owner/breeder Ken Ramsey says he will keep Stephanie's Kitten for now, breed her, and campaign her foals. #FTNov

Ramsey mentioned Tapit or Galileo as his top choices for Stephanie's Kitten's first mate. #FTNov

I wasn't even this happy when she RNAd last year. I hope she goes to Tapit and not Galileo, though.

Who is she? She's bought a few.

And on a side note, I'm sitting in the indoor walking ring, and it's more fun this time because there are lots of bidders out here :)

Galileo would be a lot of Sadler's Wells, although I'm not sure how much Sadler's Wells is too much. But if he wants her go to Galileo might as well do it when she's a maiden and there's no current foal to mess with the logistics of shipping her.

I'm sure Ramsey is absolutely heartbroken at having to keep her. :D

She and her late husband, Aaron, bred Ashado and Speightstown (among others) and have a really nice broodmare band at Taylor Made.

Can't believe anyone paid that much for such a short-legged, dumpy little mare, G1 winner or not.
I'm trying to figure that out too. She doesn't have a particularly sexy pedigree. She sold for $925,000 last year. What's the difference? being in foal to Tapit???

That's twice in 2 years Stephanie's Kitten RNA'd for a bit under her reserve. How much you wanna bet those weren't live bids and Ramsey was boosting her up?

I was at Taylor Made recently, and they took us to Marie's barn. Yep she has a whole barn to herself with some darn nice horses in it. Joyful Victory and Evening Jewel, Bonnie Blue Flag among them. Adding to the collection I guess :D

Apparently they all have cameras in their stalls because Mr. Jones liked to watch them whenever he wanted. They have some neat memorabilia from the mares in their barn, too.

I'm going to be really curious about the percentage of RNAs when this is all over.

Really thought she was going to go for more.
Yeah I thought she might break the million mark. Surprised she didn't even hit 900k Maybe she's RNA'd?
Blood Horse says that she was sold privately to a partnership for close to the final bid price afterwards. This is coming from Hill n Dale.
However, John Sikura, owner of Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Kentucky, later said the mare was sold to an undisclosed partnership for an amount close to the final bid.
