Okay, FWIW, my opinion on these last few pics :

Santiva - not a great picture, great coat condition, nice neck, a bit heavyset.

Coil - I like but kinda plain.

Mission Impazible - of course I'm partial to greys, he's nice but not liking his neck.

Dominus - a bit light boned for a stud but maybe he's just not filled out yet.

Famous Name - again, a bit light in the girth area, but I love the angle of his head and look in his eye.

Dominus is gorgeous. I like TB's that aren't draft cross lookalikes.

Santiva: The photo appears to have been taken from a low angle, and the stallion is not standing square. so it gives him a bunched up appearance. Has a quarter horse look to him in that photo.

Coil: I've always been partial to bright red chestnuts.

Mission Impazible: He's very pretty, but appears to my eye to be a little unbalanced. Heavier in front of the girth than behind. But dappled gray plus shadows can fool the eye.

Dominus: Lovely head and soft eye. Shoulder looks a little straight, but again, the photo could be misleading since we can only see half of him.

Famous Name: Looks like your standard, garden variety Northern Dancer type to me. I don't like the rather suspicious look he has in his eye, but he could have looked very different a moment after the photo was snapped. The pastern in his left front, which is the one he's standing squarely on, looks a little too let down. His weight is too heavily on his ankle and not on his foot.

Buffum is a 5-year-old, but looks younger in that photo. Looks like he just came off the track. He's an attractive, well-balanced stallion with a very good pedigree. I especially like his legs.

That photo of Fort Larned does him no favors.

His body type doesn't match his pedigree at all. He's such a lean, racy type with very lean muscle. Just looking at his photo I'd NEVER guess he'd been a sprinter or was from a family of them.

It's true Buffum had speed, but being by Bernardini out of a Storm Cat mare doesn't exactly scream 'sprinter family.'

He may be one of those miler-type studs who can pass on both speed and stamina.

Fort Larned has such a long neck. And Point of Entry is lovely. I think they are both wonderful stallion prospects.

Me too. With so few Dynaformer sons at stud, I really hope Point of Entry is "the one."

Point of Entry was a quality racehorse having finished third or better in 13 of 18 starts with 9 wins and nearly $2.5 million in earnings. As far as I know, he retired sound. He also has an interesting pedigree, because he has what is unusual linebreeding these days. He's linebred to the great Ribot through His Majesty, a full brother to Graustark and Bowl of Flowers.

Bowl of Flowers was champion filly at 2 and 3 and is a member of the Hall of Fame. She became the dam of Whiskey Road who was an important sire in Australia. Strawberry Road was one of his sons.

Point of Entry is also linebred to the great Nashua through Nashua's daughters Bramalea, dam of Roberto, and Gold Digger, dam of Mr. Prospector.

Point of Entry definitely has a sire's pedigree. Here's hoping he is, indeed, the one.
