If it's the commercial I'm thinking about, that was John Asher who is a track handicapper at Churchill (I think that's his job), not any of the Zayat's because that would have been too transparent, even for them.

Not news, really, just thinking what a shame and loss Harlan's Holiday was for the breeding industry. Good juveniles, older horses, sprinters, routers, main track horses, synthetic and turfers. He really threw every kind, emphasized by Sycamore winner Holiday Star, Hawthorne Derby winner Lucky Lindy and Futurity victor Annual Score this week.

At least its looking like he may be a sire of sires, with promising young stallions, Into Mischief and Majesticperfection, who have already had success. Plus Shanghai Bobby whose first crop is weanlings. He has a couple standing in the regional market as well but NY lost Wilcox Inn to a paddock accident during his first year at stud.

This is not news.
But he sired a real superstar from his last crop in Solow.

Gainesway has purchased an interest in 2014 BC Mile winner Karakontie.
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... karakontie
IMHO, this is a good investment by Gainesway, as this colt has a fabulous pedigree. By the Storm Cat stallion Bernstein (who we lost at only 14 in 2011 :( ), Karakontie has classic American bloodlines on top (Storm Cat, Affirmed), and proven international lines (Sunday Silence, Miesque) on the bottom.

Re: the Jockey Club numbers, nice to see Noble Mission being supported!

Big Brown has a huge bump from 46 in 2014 to 138 in 2015 - I guess the move to NY and Dortmund might have helped that

Curious why Honorable Dillon got 170 mares?? Seems like a whole lot of mares for a $5,000 stallion who only managed one stakes win. I realize he's a Tapit, but still...
