Not sure if this has been posted here before, but found this article about Summer Wind Farm which talks a bit about Irish Pharaoh (and Littleprincessemma):

I think my favorite part about this post is the fact that on my screen the picture is cropped so it looks like the Shy Tom mare is indeed shyly peeking out from behind a corner.neighhey wrote:Haras La Catedral has announced the arrival of the first foal by 2011 Argentine Polla De Potrillos victor Chuck Berry (ARG)! Shocking news has come out from Hidaka District today.tachyon wrote:colt(JPN) - Orfevre(JPN) x Sweep Tosho(JPN)(champion) (5/25)
filly(JPN) - Johannesburg(USA) x She is Tosho(JPN)(five-time graded winner who defeated Takeover Target)
@Tosho Bokujo (Farm)
Tosho Bokujo, who had been one of the most prominent breeding farms / owners in Japan between 70s and 90s, will go out of business in October.
Where will they go? ....

If one is concerned about protecting animals in another country (or anywhere), alienating those who make a substantial effort to bring you information about them is probably not the wisest way. And then there is the old saying, "Those in glass houses..." I suggest you drop the rock, and look in the mirror you came close to breaking.Secretariat4ever wrote:Oh...they will probably make them horse sushi ...which I hear its a delicacy in your country.
Tachyon, please accept my apologies for the unkind post I have quoted. Bitter apples exist in every bushel, unfortunately.

That's terribly upsetting news about Tosho Bokujo. Are they voluntarily choosing to close their doors, or did they go bankrupt? I thought racing/breeding in Japan was a growing industry, so naturally this news is sad to hear
I also apologize for Secretariat4ever's moronic comment. Not everyone has the intelligence to log onto the internet and actually try to do an ounce of research or have any form of politeness before making such an ignorant and mean comment.
