I know this has been said before but I just can't help but bring it up again. It just simply amazes me that these standout horses who battled on the track are battling again the breeding shed. Them have beaten unfathomable odds are #9, #10, and #11 on the Leading Sire List. Also all 3 have sired at least 2 G1SWs this year, which only 10 US stallions have done, including them.

It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? It's just a shame Any Given Saturday isn't right there with him, but at the same time I guess it's good that he's getting the chance to make his mark in Korea.

Yeah, that was a vintage year.

And I really look forward to seeing what their (Street Sense's and Hard Spun's) Japanese babies will do.
Both stood at Darley Japan for a year.

Street Sense covered 144 mares in 2013 to sire 93 registered foals in 2014.
Hard Spun covered 119 mares in 2014 to sire about 80 registered foals (numbers not official yet for 2015) in 2015.

I love these guys so much and I'm happy to see them performing quite well. Especially Curlin -- every time a Curlin foal wins a graded stakes, a fairy gets its wings. :D

Thanks for the list of the Japanese foals, tachyon! I'm excited to see what some of those bloodlines may turn out.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

The 2007 Derby is the only one I've seen in person, and I am sooooo glad that crop turned out so well on the track and in the breeding shed.
