I'm just wondering why the Summer Bird yearlings are doing so bad. I don't think I've seen one reach $100,000.

I don't know how they look, but the fact that he left the US before any of his foals even hit the yearling sales didn't help his cause. He seemed to be well-received both seasons he stood here, though, got 140+ mares. But I think it can be hard to sell offspring of a sire who's been moved along, except for maybe Empire Maker.Summer Bird wrote:I'm just wondering why the Summer Bird yearlings are doing so bad. I had a feeling leaving the US was part of the reason and his yearlings don't look that bad, butt I'm no conformation expert. Thanks for the input!mariasmon wrote:I don't know how they look, but the fact that he left the US before any of his foals even hit the yearling sales didn't help his cause.
