Turned out to be only race run at WOO today -- canceled rest of card due to dangerous winds.

Nice story in DRF about Res Judicata. He'll get the rest of the year off, after his last impressive stakes win, and focus on PA-bred stakes races next year.

One of her owners is named Daxton Corn.

This was Smarty Corn's 5th win in 15 starts.

And Smarty has had 7 winners in the last 8 days of racing.

A granddaughter of his, Artemis (Empire Maker - Jelani), had a decent debut today at Hollywood. She finished 3rd, just missing 2nd -- and although green in terms of technique, seemed to me to grasp the essence of her job.

On the Saturday am racing show from PHilly Park, Dick Jerardi and Keith Jones reported that Res Judicata is now a gelding and should be very good as a four-year-old. His recent victory at Laurel in the $100,000 City of Laurel was his most impressive performance yet. The previous performance was on a wet track and not representative of his talent.
Jerardi said Servis had first looked at Res Judicata as aTriple Crown possibility but soon learned he was a sprinter.

Also, I believe Concealed Identity took third in the $100,000 Jennings stakes at Laurel Saturday.
It looked very close between third and fourth.
