meh, I thought the 5 and 7 gave it to gift wrapped
7 got tired and went 5 or 6 wide into the stretch.
The rail the place to be on a day like today

The 7 pushed the 5 Excaper out, I think he could've won it. It was so close for 2nd between the 4, 7, 5.
I really like the horse that ran 2nd (4), Platinum Glory. Been waiting for him to make some noise, they've always thought highly of him.

Quite the female line on this one! Shadwell homebreds for the first 3 generations, going back to the very classy Height of Fashion (Champion 2 y/o filly in England and the dam of Nayef and Nashwan)

Knew someone would post Samantha Nicole's win before I got here! Nice allowance win in Race 8 today at Belmont Park. Touch the Moon, Pletcher's heavily favored, 3-yr-old Malibu Moon filly, finished off the board.

Could a try in an ungraded stakes be in this 4-yr-old filly's immediate future?

It wasn't an easy win for her either...she got bumped in the stretch and had to dig down to hold off another horse. Does look like she's figured out her job.

SN ran much better than last time. As for next, I think she's still allowance caliber unless they find a very weak stakes race.

If they can do that and get a win, they should be thrilled and retire her. Her real value is in being Rachel's sister, anyway. A listed stakes win would be a nice finale for her and they can say, "produced by a stakes-winning full sister to Rachel Alexandra," should they ever send any of her offspring through the sales ring.

Singwiththebirds, half sister to Canadian HOY Up With The Birds and SW Speightsong, won her debut at Woodbine yesterday in very impressive fashion. Broke slow, raced in 4th on the rail, had nowhere to go in the stretch - got cut off numerous times, and then exploded to win going away.
She looks like something special, like both of her brothers.
2nd dam is Canadian champion older mare Wilderness Song.

I hope he will make it to the Kikuka Sho, final leg of the Japanese Triple Crown races.
