The name is slightly better than her brother's, but is still sort of 'bleh'. Rachel Valentina would've been a big improvement. But it's cute.

She's a nice looking filly though, though. Looks fairly balanced, which at her age can always be a crapshoot.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

That's what I thought too... but then again it is better than Jess's Dream. Slightly. :-/

My gosh can the names of a nice mare's offsping be any more ho-hum?

Taco could have been so many better things than "Jess's Dream" and still take into account that the colt was the dream he had of breeding Curlin to Rachel before his death. I would have preferred JJ's Dream to Jess's Dream. Blargh. :( My gosh TACO TACO TACO would have been a better name.

Now this pretty filly get's "Rachel's Valentina" ... Boy, really stretching to name the Rachel Alexandra filly born on Valentine's day. It's clunky and blah. If they went that route, they could have named her something that flows a tad better... Alexandra Valentina. Sounds like an Italian princess.

I need millions and millions so that I might buy up the naming rights on these horses. LOL

Considering that she only has the two, you would have thought they would have gotten a bit more creative.

I always thought Vintner's Reserve was the best name they could've come up with for Taco. Sad they didn't use it.

I don't mind the tie in to the name and Valentine's day but the possessive is just very blah to me. It makes the name clunky when it could've flowed much like Rachel's name actually does.

The name sounds like it came straight out of a Thoroughbred series book like Wonder's Pride or Wonder's Champion. Blah.

That was only because both of those names had been reserved with the Jockey Club since shortly after the filly was born.

Is Sophisticat still owned by Coolmore? That's a very un-Coolmore name
