Looked at the Jockey Club registry and I found out that Srumdiddlyumptious wasn't able to overcome her injury from breaking down in the Dashing Beauty Stakes back in July

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember how much you liked her and your "bet" with Thinair, and I think they tried surgery to save her. RIP Srumdiddlyumptious.

I almost forgot about that "bet," if it was real though I would have lost, but she was still a great filly. She did have surgery and Breen posted the X-ray with all those screws in her leg. It was a serious injury.

Does anyone know who the horse is that Jockey Pete Anderson is aboard in #4?

Thanks for posting this, Bal.

It looks a bit like Sword Dancer, from the pics that I can find, but cant see the front legs with the wraps. I remember seeing him talking about Delightful Kiss- was the only horse in his stable at that point. May he and all R. I. P.

I'm seeing reports that St. Nicholas Abbey fought the good fight, but had to be released from his pain this morning. Trying to find a link. R. I. P.

ETA:
From Coolmore:

"Regretfully St Nicholas Abbey has lost his brave battle after suffering a colic
this morning. Surgery revealed a severe strangulating colon torsion that was
unviable and he had to be euthanized on humane grounds. This is extremely
unfortunate as St Nicholas Abbey had been in terrific form, the laminitis was
resolving very well and the fracture had healed better than expected.

Coolmore would like to thank the surgeons, the international experts and all the
staff at Fethard Equine Hospital who gave him such excellent care 24/7. We would
also like to thank the multitude of well-wishers for all the cards and messages
of support for St Nicholas Abbey. He will be buried in the graveyard here at
Coolmore."

F#$%ing Colic!

That's very sad news. He fought so hard.
May he rest in peace.

Just read that they couldn't save Dance with Fate, a very promising colt, from his injuries at Del Mar this morning. Condolences to his stable and owners.

Little Belle
Hi Afrashad... I was a huge fan of hers but cannot find anything aside from a notation someone added on pedigree query.

I know you aren't the type to post something unless it's been confirmed and so wondered if you could share any details that you've heard (?).

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't know the details on either Little Belle or Playful Act. It's pretty rare to see a Darley press release when one of their mares dies no matter how big of a name they are. Both are 100% confirmed though.

Thank you for answering... how sad that they're both gone.
