Such a terrible event, Silver Train was always on my best looking stallion list. Rest in Peace boy.

I am with you. It is leaving a bad taste.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:It sounds like Silver Train was stricken while he was being transported. What a nightmare for the horse and his handlers...stuck on a plane with no way to get him to an equine hospital? Even if they had a vet accompanying the horse, the options available to treat him may have been pretty limited.
I'm beginning to hate shuttling...so much to go wrong.

On 12/24/13 a filly by Strong Broad out of the mare Majestic Fantasy was born one month too soon. The mare had complications a couple of weeks prior to foaling and the filly was delivered and stood but she did not last the night. It was her first foal and will not be bred until 2015. The mare is doing fine.

Poor baby. Too bad incubators for preemie foals have not yet been developed.

They are doing a necropsy. I'm not sure they know exactly what happened to her. Internal problems maybe? It's so sad.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:Poor baby. Too bad incubators for preemie foals have not yet been developed.

It was what, his sixth race in 9 weeks. Plus three works. He deserved better than that.Le Beau Bai wrote:@DRFGrening just tweeted it was a lateral condylar fracture to his left foreleg.WarBiscuit wrote:Damn. He was a hard trying horse.
