Oops I put this in Stallion News, hadn't made my way here yet. Yeah I read both articles as well, I agree with you. The forgetting the retirement article is common with them.

I wondered if this might be coming after the 9yo's 6th place finish in the Concorde Stakes last night (Saturday in Australia). RacingPost has a nice article:

SILVER DUST (Tapit) — MG3W, MGSP and a runner of the 2020 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (finished 10th). he was a DNF "took an awkward step [...] put into protective hold [...] choppy gaited [...] eased up [...] walked off under his own power" in a Claiming race at Saratoga today, in for a $16,000 tag.

glad his current connections retired him, but i don't know how his past connections did not feel the slightest bit of shame throwing him into the Claiming ranks last year after all he had done for them.

SHAAZ (Uncle Mo), a $1,100,000 two-year-old purchase, has been retired and will stand at Barton Thoroughbreds for $5,000 LFSN. he was undefeated in his first 3 starts after debuting as a very late three-year-old and then placed in a G3. looks like they tried to bring him back this year after a seven month layoff but he only had 1 work before retiring. seems great for the gene pool.

COUNTRY GRAMMER (Tonalist) has been retired to WinStar and will stand the 2024 season for $10,000 LFSN. which means we can guessing what his introductory fee in Korea will be!
