He run on 9/14 in the 5th race at Belmont finishing 3rd in a MSW.
No works since then.

Anyone? Please can anyone direct me as to how to inquire about him.
I looked at the NYRA site that lists death reports and there was nothing about him.

Ok, being that he started once as a 2-year-old, any number of things could be going on.
They may have just wanted to get a race in him for experience. He may have gotten sore shins, and/or bucked his shins during the race. He may need some time to mature.
Tagg isn't really the type of trainer to run the sh*t out of them as babies, and Fipke is one of the owners that lets his horses mature. I wouldn't worry about it too much. There is no death report on his Jockey Club registration.
