RESULTS BY REAL QUIET @ ThoroughbredRacingFans.com
Midweek Mayhem takes a rare Wednesday trip to Saratoga and that calls for a trio of celebrity stewards.
Filling in this week will be Judge Roy Bean, the honorable Judy Judy and Ted Allen.
As the day starts Real Quiet shoots out to the lead and just as quickly slows down.
The only explanation is that as the scorer this week he was forced to carry the Ruffian Golden Book of Rules and coming in 27 pounds overweight was too much to overcome.
Scratch RQ from the superfecta. Cigarshop is also out of the money, Tiger Dancer broke tardily and as a gentleman Cigarshop stayed with her to the end. Judge Judy says "NEXT". Stark and Thundercat were the next two down.
No thunder for the Cat and no Sharknado tornado's to propel Stark the Shark.
Judge Judy looking bored says "NEXT".
Ruffian takes the 4th spot. Truth be told I looked through her entry several times to see if I could find a reason for a DQ but after conferring with the Supreme Court no infractions could be found and the only DQ I could acquire was a Blizzard at Dairy Queen. If the results are wacky blame it on a brain freeze.
Cat number 3 Catalina takes the 3 spot and becomes the Flower Bearer and Blunny becomes the Bridesmaid (an awesome look for him, hopefully Tiger Dancer can do him justice).
Blunny and Catalina wanted to say "Yes to the Dress" but Blunny wanted it more despite slowing down in the stretch to view a Fluffle of bunnies in the infield. Yes Ruffle it is called a Fluffle.
Finally Ted Allen chimes in and gives out his signature signoff. "Blunny, you have been Chopped" and that leaves Dusty as our winner. Unfortunately Ruffian's budget doesn't allow for a $10,000 prize but Dusty "you are the Chopped Champion".
Congrats on the big win and the only triple digit score. That leaves Judge Roy Bean to pass the final sentence. While known as the "hanging judge" he really wasn't.
Judge Roy pounds his gavel and sentences Tiger the Dancer to a week in the cat house and as an added punishment
ia week of toting the Rule Book which by next Mayhem will have added a pound or two.
Following are the unofficial results pending a review by the Commander in Chief, the Ruff One
