Well, here it is, that moment you've all been waiting for, Midweek Mayhem Results from Delta Downs.
But before we get to that we have some olde business that needs to be cleared up. A week or so ago
CATALINA dwelt as the gates opened, yet nothing was reported on the Vet's list after the race. We now know, according to
TMZ that something may indeed have been wrong, we'll let you be the judge.
Okay, back to Delta, the horses are coming onto the track. If it were just about shiny gray coats all dappled this would be a walkover as you-know-who would be trying for a repeat victory!
Delta Downs Track Management heard about our contest and wanted to spice things up a little bit but weren't sure what to do so they looked up MAYHEM in the dictionary and they found reference to
rowdy disorder and chaos and they wanted to be a part of it. So, with your permission, they added a few jumps along the course just to make it exciting. Please note, NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS RACE filmed on location in Vinton, Louisiana.
Finally, the flag is up and awaaaay they go!
Blunny jumps out of the gate like a quarter horse
John Henry is right behind him, and it's already 10 lengths back to the bunched up field and then two more lengths to
Cigarshop with his numerologist up trailing the field.
And here comes that first hurdle that track management set up, it really is a thing of beauty as all the horses seem to handle it well with Blunny and John Henry still out in front.
Ruffian seems to have lost something along the way, no repeat victory this week for her.
TigerDancer is dancing to the infield music
Stark the Shark was having more fun in the water as the others left him behind
RealQuiet stopped for a brewski losing all chance, urine sample will be plentiful after the race.
Dusty took the slow but sure route to a strong finish
Cigarshop was last seen eased, pulled up healthy and headed to Barnes and Nobel
A couple of unknown horses were lamenting after the race
So while many of the gamblers were headed to the ATM
The final results were being posted
