***BREAKING NEWS
This just in from Evangeline Downs Racetrack:
Several horses have escaped from the track
Through a gate that was left open
The Louisiana mounted patrol (LMP)
are on their way to round them up
Rewards are being offered by each owner
Four of the slower horses were just spotted near a feed store
where apparently seeing the hay Is what stopped them from running
Being rounded up and brought back to the track
Ruffian, Dusty, Stark, Blunny
The LMP remain in pursuit of the other runaways
Now engaging four very fast horses who are showing
no sign of slowing down to be caught
The LMP has called for additional help who are on their way
Lady Luck has just offered a helping hand
By causing a feed truck to break down on the road
And due to the sudden stop the grain has spilled onto the ground
That was enough incentive to cause four horses
To stop running which now has allowed the LMP to round them up
They have been identified as
Criminal Type
Tiger Dancer
John Henry
Catalina
The LMP has put out a BOLO for Cigarshop & Real Quiet
who so far are nowhere to be found
Back at the track the reward money has been posted as follows
Catalina = $101.90 --
John Henry = $96
Tiger Dancer = $90.60
Criminal type = $58.80
Blunny = $34.30
Stark = $34.20
Dusty = $33.10
Ruffian = $21.30
The owners and trainers of all of these horses have made
a large donation to the LMP In gratitude for their dedication
saving their horses without one injury
Although Cigarshop and Real Quiet remain MIA
