But one Colt finally decided

And so he dug down real deep

Instead of all that 'Roaring'
Maybe we might hear a 'Bark!'


Behind the front running trio
Catalina and Real Quiet came
John Henry and Dusty next
Looking for something to blame


At the back of the pack we could see
Criminal Type followed by Blunny
Then trotting along by herself
El Prado with no hope of money


And as the wire drew closer
Stark thought "Enough is Enough"
With one final surge of power
He managed to just nose out Ruff


But he couldn't out Dance La Tigre
From gate to the wire she danced
It was clear from the very beginning
That Nobody else had a chance

So the final order of finish
Most runners just sang the blues
Was 3 had their running shoes on
And El Prado got her First Golden Goose
