**RESULTS**
Criminal Type reporting from the Ole Dog House here at
the Charles Town Race Track in West Virginia
Bet you didn't know the Dog House is Towed each week
to the Track of the Day!
So it was quite an interesting journey up the Coast
from Gulfstream Park to West Virginia
Couldn't help singing Take Me Home Country Roads
although the Tow Truck Driver begged me to stop
We almost got a ticket for driving too slow which is
what I had asked the driver to do so I could
enjoy The View (Not the one with Whoopie)
So now on with the Show featuring the BOTS Challenge
The Battle Of The Sexes was a little unbalanced today
with 6 COLTS and only 4 FILLYS in the gate
But that has never slowed the Feisty Fillys down in the past
Today started out as a true BOTS day
a.k.a. = Battle Of The Sexes
Between Criminal Type and Dusty
Who both left the gate like twin Jets
leaving the field watching their tails disappear in the distance
But immediately Criminal Type turned up the heat
leaving Dusty playing catch-up
Things heated up even more, heading into the turn
when Cigarshop found his "MoJo" he had lost -
And soon was just a couple of lengths behind Dusty
Oaklawn Capper Showed good early speed running
Right at the heels of Cigarshop
Catalina & Blunny were another few Lengths back
Defending Champ Stark - Tiger Dancer & Real Quiet
were another few lengths back
Showing no speed at all in the early going
And all alone at the very back was Ruffian
Who apparently had left her "Inner Cheetah"
Back at the barn Cat Napping as she meandered
Along, trailing the field by at least 20 lengths
At the top of the stretch Criminal Type increased his lead
with yet another powerful move
But there might have been some Tabasco Hot Sauce essence blowing in the wind right into the noses of Dusty & Tiger Dancer
as the 2 Fillies suddenly caught fire which kept Dusty in front Of
The Speedy Cigarshop & moved Tiger Dancer right up to his tail
--- Turning Cigarshop into A "Filly Sandwich" -
Which no doubt he enjoyed!
Some of the Tabasco drifted over and was inhaled by Real Quiet
who also suddenly moved up very quickly
Back another few lengths were
Catalina & Oaklawn Capper
Stark showing no speed it all & seemed very lethargic today
when compared to his last few races
And way behind Stark it was Ruffian
Without a care in the world
Just taking in the scenery
Glancing over at the fans
And maybe thinking this was just a daily workout
Without any rush to get anywhere
And down the stretch they came
With Criminal Type leading the way
The "Master Thief" taking no prisoners today
Stealing the race from the gate
Dusty and Cigarshop running neck & neck
Trying to catch the runaway leader
But Without success
Tiger Dancer still running well but not gaining any ground
on the three in front of her
With one final desperate surge of power
Dusty managed to put her tiny nose in front of Cigarshop
to hold on for 2nd by a Filly nostril hair
Cigarshop with Mojo & Ego restored
Takes a hard earned show spot
Tiger Dancer just holds on for "The Precious"
Official order of finish shows COLTS Win BOTS
Thanks to the "Ole War Horse" Criminal Type
But we can't help but wonder if some odd "Magic"
was at work with CT winning at CT?
From Dog House to Penthouse where the "Perks"
are pretty much the same except for the Glory of Winning
1) Criminal Type = $98.80
2) Dusty = $86.40
3) Cigarshop = $81.80
4) Tiger Dancer = $55.20
Catalina = $53.60
Oaklawn Capper = $53.40
Real Quiet = $44.20
Blunny = $31.40
Stark (DC) = $16.40
(We can attribute his poor effort to the "Procedure"
performed by Dr Bramlege to Reverse his Gelding-Ness)
And the GOLDEN GOOSE EGG goes to RUFFIAN = $0
Not an easy thing to do avoiding even a 3rd place $$
So now we leave the Country Roads of West Virginia
and journey on to another adventure next week
Over & Out from the Penthouse
Bourbon & Babes waiting for the Party to start
Everyone welcome especially those Frisky Fillys!

KUDOS TO THE 'MASTER THIEF'
WHO STOLE THE RACE AWAY
CATNIP TO THE DUSTY ONE
WHO ALMOST WON THE DAY
SHE GAVE A MIGHTY CHASE
SHE DID HER BEST TO WIN
BUT WHEN THE WIRE CAME
THE DAY BELONGED TO HIM
HIS SPEED WAS O SO FAST
HIS LEAD WAS JUST TOO MUCH
AND FOR THE COLTS THIS DAY
HE HAD THE MAGIC TOUCH!
CT AT CT? HOW CAN YA BEAT THOSE ODDS!

Thanks guys for all your kind comments
But I do have to share something
that is important to me
And that is How hard it is to write a race call result
Knowing that it was me who won, and try to be humble as I'm writing it
It's a fine line between not coming off as egotistical but also being able to write a worthy race call as if
It was somebody else who actually won
Strangely enough this is happened to me several times because just like Cigarshop said
I'm an "all or nothing at all guy"
As in Win one - then finish Last the next time
But I lucked out most of the other times because the winner I was writing about was not me so it wasn't difficult
Your kind words are very appreciated
