in "Hoosierville" tonight for those Filly Cats

When the gates opened for the Main-Mane Event
Two of Nine came out like Firecrackers and the other 7 came out like those "Duds"
that never fire in spite of their advertising and high expectations ---
then just fizzle along sputtering as they go

It was John Henry for the Colts & Dusty for the Fillys who actually RAN
and played their own game of Catch Us IF You Can?

The rest of the field had a few shining moments of
"Gee ...maybe we can get 3rd or 4th place money"

At the Top Of the Stretch the Colt and Filly were neck and neck
until John Henry decided that it was time to bring out the Heavy Artillery
firing one final shot and leaving poor Dusty wondering how the "Match Race''
Had suddenly turned into A One Horse Exhibition!

When the Smoke from the Blazing Hooves of the front running Duo had cleared
There was no question as to who owned the race today -- and it WASN'T The FILLY

Although Dusty gave an impressive display of power and determination
she was no match for John Henry who made his Namesake proud today
as he exploded out of the gate and kept firing to the wire

So we have a COLT in the Penthouse
A FILLY in the Cat House
And this Colt's thinkin = It dont get much better than that!
