Santa Anita and Golden Gate have a Golden hour double. The 9th at Golden gate Blew my mind.
Ididn't have a dime on the race but I LOVE watching races. They ran 1 1/6 on Tapeta (all-weather)
and the Horse that blew me away was "American Farmer"..He broke from post 11 and the rider
didn't do a great job of getting anywhere near the rail. In fact he was never farther in than 4 wide
and was 6 and 7 wide at points on the backstretch..He was 5 wide on the final turn and then took
the lead.. There was no way I thought he would be close but he had the audacity to hang on and win..
He is a son of Bluegrass Cat. He will probably be 2 to 5 if enough people see the replay.. I've been
betting on horses for 50 years and I've never seen anything like that. check it out
