RESULTS:
DUSTY opened up a sizable lead coming out of the first turn, adding to it along the way, and resulting in a gate to wire victory romp. BLUNNY kept trying to catch the fleet filly but wasn’t able to match her speed. CATALINA and TIGER DANCER started out well but by the far turn had been overtaken by BLUNNY. KENTUCKY BLUE CATS headed the group near the end of the field, followed by REAL QUIET, THUNDER CAT and CIGARSHOP, and finally RUFFIAN, who – with a score of zero – became the third winner of the elusive Golden Goose Egg in 2017.
