Random question just thinking about it, what are some stallions you know of that were unraced and went to stud?
Adding off of that, Mandaloun's full brother Mullion finished his first season at stud in NY, not having a long racing career. Since his fee was private, what do you think it the fee would be?

Mo the Beholder.
He is an unraced son of Uncle Mo out of a full-sister to Leslie's Lady, which produced Beholder, Into Mischief, Mendelssohn, and Curlin to Mischief). Cost $1.1 million as a yearling, but never made it to the races.

Alibhai was a very influential stallion. He was given a shot at stud because I guess they thought he looked fast before he was injured. After being California's Leading Sire 5 years in a row, he was bought by a syndicate for a then world record price of 500k(about 7 million today) and sent to Spendthrift in Kentucky. He got 54 SWs from 395 foals for 14% SWs to foals. He is still found in pedigrees through various sons and daughters. I'd type some out but then I feel like I have to keep typing horses for awhile. Major influences: full brother's His Majesty, Graustark, their half sister CH/Hall of Famer Bowl of Flowers, Your Host(sire of Kelso), Your Hostess(her female descendants include Majestic Prince, Secreto, Istabraq, Real Quiet, etc), Dynaformer, Pleasant Colony, Determine, Dixieland Band, etc, etc, etc. Currently off the top of my head, he is in Into Mischief, Quality Road, Justify, Flightline, Union Rags, etc. pedigree and I guarantee its many more that my brain just isn't clicking.
As for the other question, Mullion can't be standing for much of anything. I would imagine it can't be more than 2.5k and I'd hope he was less than that.

Gold Legend (Seattle Slew x Gold Beauty) started out at Jonabell, then went to Texas and Canada. Family of Sky Beauty.
Two of Fairy Bridge’s unraced sons stood at stud: Hermitage (Storm Bird) and Classic Music (ND).

I remember there being a lot of Storm Cat's that were unraced or lightly raced. It was so many and mostly regional that I don't really remember their names. A couple were Dome, Storm and a Half, Storm of Goshen, Storm of Angels, Ancient Art, City Place, etc.. Truth wouldn't surprise me if 90% of the ones listed as unraced on PQ went to stud.

There was a son of Northern Dancer named Staff Writer who was the leading sire in Washington throughout the 80s. You'd even see his offspring racing in Northern California. Small market but he did a lot to improve the local mare population.
