Could yoshida come back to winstar in the future? I know he's currently standing stud at darley Japan. But he's still listed on winstars website under the stallion section. He hasn't been completely removed like others they've sold off

Probably they just haven’t updated the website.

It seems a pretty unique situtation. Winstar took the time to update their site and say he is standing at Darley Japan this year. If the syndicate had sold him there would be no reason to keep him on their site. Perhaps the syndicate that owns him chose to lease over sell, so it seems possible. But his foals results don't make it seem likely. Darley themselves have sent stallions to Japan for a year and brought them back, Hard Spun and Street Sense both stood a year in Japan.

I’m horribly cynical when it comes to Win$tar. I’m not sure if you can compare what Darley did with SS and HS because those two stallions were already pretty established with Darley…and Darley doesn’t seem to play the revolving door game like Winstar.

What I meant was if Yoshida did well its possible he could come back to Darley America because they have done it in the past. Darley does move stallions on, all farms do when the stallion aren't doing well. Its just not as noticeable at a farm like Darley in the US because they don't usually stand 20+ stallions and aren't needing stall space every year. Looking at their 2010 US stallion roster, there were 16 stallions, 5 of which died, 8 of the remaining were sold or moved to Darley Japan/Australia. 2018 that had 10 stallions in Kentucky, 6 are still there. 1 died, 2 went permanently to Darley Australia, the other was sold to Japan. I think they moved on at least 4 from their European roster for 2024.
