Resolute Farm has been pretty confident they are gonna get this filly. In fact I feel they are overly confident because you never know how the bidding will turn out. It'll be interesting to see what happens. They seem committed to keeping her on home turf in Australia

That was awesome. Can't say I'm familiar with all of the major players there, but that seems like the correct outcome. Thank you RugbyGirl for posting the link and helping us share in the moment!

Tom Magnier sounds genuinely thrilled by the way it went down. Very cool story.
Looks like a record for any Australian yearling, but not quite a global record for a yearling filly. I'm assuming the prices were in AUD?

Yeah they'd be AUD. ~$6,575,000 USD.

Did not realize Debbie and family were so wealthy-is she the one with the purple hair that used to come on the broadcasts of Winx’s races?

Yes, I believe so! At least she had colorful hair when she was crying when she won the filly.

It would have been interesting to see what the filly would have sold for without Stewart’s involvement—if his bragging about how much he was going to spend drove away other bidders—and then driving up the bidding.
