I think I caravel will go for a pretty penny. She beat the boys. I'm gonna say at least 2 million. I wonder if pope or the Japanese will swoop her up

Would be surprised if Coolmore doesn’t get in there. They don’t have Galileo to cross their sprinting mares with anymore, but I’m sure they can scrounge up another suitor for her. This will be, what, the 4th time Caravel has changed hands?

She was campaigned by her owner/breeder/trainer Elizabeth Merryman until she was sold in the 2021 FT Nov Sale, Bobby Flay had joined in as a partner before her July 2021 start. Qatar Racing and Marc Detampel bought her at the 2021 FT Sale and Madaket joined as partner for her 2nd start in 2022. Originally they were going to sell her in one of the 2022 Nov Sales but decided to keep her in training for another year. So this will only be the 2nd time she actually changed hands.

She might be an interesting one. When Mizdirection sold, she went to Al Shaqab Racing in France for 2.7m. I mention her because she was also a BC Turf Sprint(2x) winner by Mizzen Mast.
