I just read this article and does this really appeal or excite anyone? I feel like they spin it to make it sound like its "the Myracehorse of breeding" and that you own part of the foal or broodmare. Then on their site in the FAQs its like "No you don't own anything." So essentially you are paying $75 to get a newsletter and some pictures for one year? Sure you could go to their farm for an event in the summer but idk just seems weird to me.

The article also says Foal Patrol is ending.

Didn't Taylor Made do something similar with California Chrome? You paid a not-insignificant amount of money for photos and updates on one of the first crop foals.

I thought you could also buy into that filly? But I could 100% be wrong. I liked Chrome, but I was tired of the Chromies by that point and steered well clear of that. I just remember it felt like a lot of drama surrounding it. I remember the mare fell in her stall at some point, the filly lost an eye at a few days old, then I can't remember if something else happened to the filly but she was sent to a rehoming facility while still young.

I wasn't a part of it, but I do know you didn't have to pay money to watch the stream or to get updates. I think you just bought into the filly. I am not 100% sure though. I just know I watched the filly o/o Colerful Bride be born, and I remember it took her a while to walk. She would stand up, shuffle around, and then manage to wedge herself into a corner. She also almost got out of the stall once (it was a rope door).
