The Dumb Question Thread

I've been looking over the photos of the 2 yr olds for sale this year. Is it just me or do some of them look rather fat - like they'll be selling by the pound? Maybe I'm used to looking at photos of horses in race trim. Or maybe I have horse anorexia. They looked FAT.

I thought the Justify - Appealing Zophie colt looked pretty hefty.

Whats the point of two year old under tack shows? They're babies there is no need to go that hard and fast. They probably go faster in these shows than when they are racing

I thought at one point they were going to stop the under tack shows as too punishing for young horses?

I don't remember ever hearing that they were stopping under tack shows. They have put limits in place regarding riding crop usage and medications (it may not seems like it watching this year's videos, but I remember even 5 years ago those horses got hit quite a bit...)
