question regarding Tale of Ekati

out of curiosity/boredom i was reading through some breeding shed forms and on Darby Dan's form they mention that mares being bred to Tale of Ekati will always be tranquilized. does anyone know the reason behind that?

Just a guess but it could be because he's a very overly excited or aggressive breeder

I'm assuming by "tranq'd" they mean the mares get lots of horsey Benadryl to calm down?

Spendthrift has posted a video series this week (on Insta, at least) explaining the process of breeding. They said Goldencents specifically wears little boots on his back legs because when he goes to the breeding shed he gets extra extra excited and kicks his own legs.

I would guess acepromazine, dormosedan, or yeah horse benadryl aka dexamethasone
