It's a little early, but there was a high-profile (if predictable) announcement today.

I am surprised they aren't sending her to No Nay Naver, even if they are trying to get St. Mark's Basilica off the ground. From a conformation standpoint would love for them to throw Footstepsinthesand a bone and try her with him, but that isn't likely to happen. Just think a pretty good template is in place with DI and Storm Cat- why not use it?

From what I read, they didn’t confirm that Snowfall would even be retired for a 2022 covering, they just said it was a suitable match for whenever she is retired.

Has Aidan O'Brien said anything about her future plan recently, Northport?
Will she remain in training next year?
I've been looking for fresh news about her on the internet, but I haven't seen anything after the British Champions Day.

I haven’t heard anything official yet. It’s not unusual for them to keep their top fillies in training as 4 year olds and older (or even retiring and then un retiring them like they did with Magical), but the way Snowfall’s form dropped off at the end of the year would lead me to guess that they might retire her.

Thank you for your comment, Northport.
I'm just curious about the champion filly's future plan that has yet to be announced at this stage.
I personally think that she has done enough on the turf, too, but who knows?

Oops, I had posted that back when she sold at Keeneland but posted in the 2021 one accidentally. I hate it, they were both so incredibly unsound.

Here was the article from then:

Since when have breeders cared about soundness? They absolutely should care but clearly don't

Too lazy to list them, but lots of nice mares booked to St Mark’s Basilica (none of them owned by Coolmore tho)

Would that be because Coolmore is a bit top-heavy with Galileo mares in their broodmare band? ;)
