I happened to tune in at the right moment where the groom was taking to the breeding shed, while he didn't seem to give his groom any trouble, I did notice his groom was putting a muzzle on him. Is he an overly aggressive breeder?, or is this standard procedure for Gainseway?

I've heard Tapit can be moody but I wouldn't be surprised is this is standard procedure for all of them.

He’s an aggressive breeder. They have to give the mare’s extra protection because he penetrates very hard lol

I think breeding stallions often grab onto a mare's withers (just a natural instinct), so protecting the valuable mare from unnecessary wounds makes sense.
