During the most severe bit of our lockdown there was a fabulous free course called The Art of the Mating, and the first week’s topic was choosing a first mating for Enable, Midnight Bisou and Deirdre. I thought you might find it interesting.

Her sire, Nathaniel, is a son of Galileo. So I would think that would take Sea The Stars off the table too. I'm pretty sure So You Think doesn't shuttle to Ireland anymore and just stands in Australia.

Even before her retirement was announced, Dubawi was the first stallion name that popped into my head for Enable. It seems that he WAS the consensus pick of all the participants in that little webinar (with Kingman a pretty strong 2nd).

(I've just seen the Enable part).
It might have been a toss-up between Dubawi and Kingman, both of whom are top sires free from Sadler's Wells.
And I'm soooo thrilled with Prince Abdullah's decision. (Yes, I'm always a big Kingman fan, haha!)
Personally I wonder if Kingman's most recent success with his sons Palace Pier and Persian King could have led to Prince Abdullah's final pick.
And, unlike Dubawi, Kingman is a Juddmonte stallion who raced for Prince Abdullah.
So Enable's first foal is going to be a purely Juddmonte horse and he could be happy about that.
Here's the fictitious pedigree table for Kingman x Enable:

We see champions Dancing Brave, Zenda, Kingman and Enable in his/her pedigree -- all of whom raced for Prince Abdullah.
(Interestingly, at least to me haha, Dubawi is one of the rare stallions who have Dancing Brave in his pedigree, too)
