Nyquist and Not This Time are certainly off to good starts. They both scored their first G1 winners on Sunday with Vequist and Princess Noor, respectively.

Nyquist also had the 3rd place finisher in the Spinaway in Lady Lilly.

Delight finished third. The impressive winner, Love Reigns, is by another freshman sire, U.S. Navy Flag. She’s trained by Wesley Ward, so Royal Ascot may be in her future.

Girvin had his first starter and winner today at Churchill Downs In R2: Devious Dame. Great name—she is out of The Shady Lady.

Agreed. It’s part of the Horseshoe casino and hotel chain (which is owned by Caesar’s).

I think it used to be Indiana Downs.

Yeah it was Indiana Downs til 2014, then Indiana Grand. I just think the new name isn't good.

Why on earth did they rename Indiana Grand?

"Horseshoe Indianapolis" is such a mouthful. Why not just "Horseshoe Park" if they had to rename it?

The TVG analysts were eye-rolling about that name change. Counted out all the syllables and sympathized with the track announcers dealing with that mouthful. :P :lol:

Fr when I heard "Horseshoe Indianapolis" I assumed it was one of those tracks out west nobody knows exists that only got attention now for some reason.
