Claiborne Farm 15h ago
@claibornefarm
Since we're not able to welcome you to the farm, we hope you'll welcome us into your home! TOMORROW at 10 AM we're going LIVE on Instagram to do a VIRTUAL STALLION TOUR with one of our grooms. We hope you'll join us then!
Someone commented they couldn’t be online at that time and Claiborne responded with this:
It will stay up on Instagram for 24 hours after recording.
Awesome idea!

They forgot they said they were going to do this I guess or it never showed they were live streaming to me. Anyone watch it?

It’s up on their Instagram account currently, says it was streamed 1 hour ago.

It was great! They showed the barns and several stallions, loved seeing my favourite Catholic Boy.

I caught the tail end of it and then went back and watched the whole thing.
They showed Don Julio the teaser at the end (who made a point of running up for attention) and Algorithms booped the camera. Another interesting tidbit is that Catholic Boy is slated to be in Secretariat's paddock. Also War Front ran up and was very talkative.

Yeah was my own fault. I thought I'd be able to watch on my PC but had to watch on my tablet.

It would be neat if they did another one with foals.

Just watching the live now, it's interesting to see how much they believe in Runhappy, it really sounds like they think he'll be the next big thing. I wonder if anyone on here has seen in person or owns a Runhappy foal? Do you guys think they will make a big splash this year?

I plan on watching it tonight after my child goes to sleep.
Can't wait to see my boy, War Front.

I got in around 10 minutes into it and loved it. It was really well executed, the tour guide was wonderful and whoever was filming it was definitely right on the money! Fantastic idea, I hope it catches on!

I saw Taylor Made applauding the idea and said they were looking into doing it as well.

Claiborne just posted the recording to their Facebook account. It's not ideal in that format given the screen size, but if you missed or want to see it again, it's an option.

Mill Ridge did one today and I caught it afterwards. Showed off basically the entire farm. From memory, they showed~
Dance to Bristol, who is due to foal soon (i/f to Candy Ride)
Never Give Up, who foaled a baby by Empire Maker this morning at 3 AM
Wine N Dyne and her Oscar Performance colt she's very protective of
Sweet Assay, who was recently scanned in foal to Oscar Performance (barren last year)
Oscar Performance himself, who covered Miss Chapin this afternoon
Also showed the older yearlings and the nanny (retired) mares pastured with them. Guide said the name of one of the mares but I couldn't understand him due to the wind. Sharp Act, or something like that maybe? They're also going to do more livestreams, they said.
They said that Miss Chapin is named after the girls' Chapin School in New York, and they chose that name because it sounds very floofy and high society (reflecting her parents' names) and Never Give Up was named that because she had a really bad hock infection as a youngster and they did not know if she would survive. That's why she never raced.

Stonestreet will be doing a live tour of their foaling nursery on Facebook on Friday at 2pm and on Instagram Saturday at 2pm.
If you want to see all the information about tours, go to the @visithorsecountry Instagram account, they have it all in their stories. Spendthrift and Taylor Made will also be hosting lives.
I love these!
