He has turned out to be a very good sire, and starting to become a very good broodmare sire.
Everyone is talking about Scat Daddy when they talk about Justify - Ghostzapper and the female family are just as much a factor.

GZ was a stone-cold freak—so is his grandson.
I was looking at Justify’s entry on Equineline last night and had to laugh when I saw that the cross of SD over GZ mares produced a 20.67 AEI. Since that cross is no longer possible, I wonder if they’ll try sending SD mares to GZ?

They might. Or they might send GZ mares to sons of Scat Daddy.

I was thinking the same the other day I suppose we talk about SD because he's no longer with us and his best runners have seemed to emerge right after we lost him.
But Ghostzapper has produced two Queen's plates winners almost back to back one of which is now a multiple graded stakes winner at distances ranging from 9 to 12f and has also won at shorter distances. He also produced a champion female sprinter.
One other notable grand-get they don't mention in that article is the Japan-based Levante Lion, a graded stakes winning son of Pioneerof the Nile. And he's only just getting started as a BM sire, methinks.

He is the best. I still don't think I will ever see a horse again with the raw brilliance he had.
