Midnight Lute $15,000 ($20,000)
I'm a little surprised by the drop. ML has been pretty consistent in siring decent runners.
Trappe Shot TBA ($7,500)
I will guess that his fee goes up.
Flatter TBA ($35,000)
Maybe up, as well.
Blame TBA ($25,000)
Wouldn't be shocked if his fee drops a bit. IIRC, his get haven't been lighting it on fire on the track or at the sales.

If his first crop shows any kind of talent in 2018, I wouldn't be surprised if his fee goes to $50+ in 2019.bare it all wrote:Cairo Prince, $25,000 - up from $15,000 (Airdrie Stud)

Lord Nelson - NEW - $25,000
I'd add another $5,000 just for him surviving laminitis. Really hope he has a great career.
ETA: Is is just me...or does it feel like Spendthrift has a LOT of stallions?
I wonder what a new stallion (or older who may not be in fashion ATM) has to accomplish to keep a stall there?

They have 24 and WinStar has 22. WinStar has a larger percentage of well-established stallions, though. Spendthrift's strategy seems to be something like throwing a lot of stuff at a wall to see what sticks. There was a time when Lane's End stood a similar number, but their current roster is 16.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:Lord Nelson - NEW - $25,000

I mean, we all knew it was coming, but gosh dang, Into Mischief for $100,000. He started at $12,500 way back when in 2009.

I think Spendthrift is also currently experimenting with various fee/payment structures not to mention various bloodlines. I remember reading something once that made me go "huh. That's certainly outside the box." but now I can't remember what it was exactly.mariasmon wrote:They have 24 and WinStar has 22. WinStar has a larger percentage of well-established stallions, though.
