Anyone hear or seen anything about his first foals? I honesty know little about his potential as a stallion but was asked to look into him for someone. I have no idea where to really start except to say he wasn't very sound, but neither was Tapit. 4K sounds reasonable and the person wants NY breds. I printed out some nice articles about him and the KY Derby and used his New Orleans Handicap and Derby as part of video presentation but thought there would be more out there.

My project in Western NY ends this week and he wants me and another guy to take Amtrak to Saratoga and drive to Amenia and check him out. The train leaves at 4:30 am and I really would rather just Fly to FL, so ANY input would be great. Thanks so much.

Well to start with, Normandy Invasion is still owned by Spendthrift Farm even though he's standing in New York. He entered stud only last year, so he might be covering his first book of mares this year. Depends on what time of year he was retired in 2016.

Here's a link to his Blood Horse stallion register page:http://www.bloodhorse.com/stallion-regi ... y-invasion

Keane Stud, where he's standing, does not seem to have a website. If they do, it's not linked on the Stallion Register page. But the contact info is there, so your friend can call to inquire if they want to send a mare to this stallion.

I hope this helps. :)

No disrespect, but I am one of best researchers in the world, even if it has nothing to do with horses. He will have 80+ 2017 foals. I was just wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything yet. I will likely head there next week with camera. Thanks. I do appreciate response. I saw a few foals on twitter but I honestly have no idea what a good or bad foal looks like.

No disrespect taken, Chris. Obviously, then, he entered stud last year early enough to stand the 2016 season. Your best sources of information will be Spendthrift and the farm where he's standing. I followed the link you provided to the farm and it says Normandy Invasion's first foal arrived in January. So there you go...he does have foals on the ground now.

If you're one of the best researchers in the world why do you deign to ask the forum what they think? Do it yourself smartass.

I gather information. I am not an analyst of information. For example, in my write up I include quotes like Chad Brown says "He has a wonderful demeanor" or a poster on an internet site says "his early foals look promising" I also provide his race videos and stallion video. I would include quotes from this board if I thought useful.

I work with a team of three others and two of us are the technology/research guys and two analyze and provide the information acceptable to our client. We usually deal in international affairs, not horses, but our main client asked us to put information together on Normandy Invasion and 72 Brickhouse Road in Stillwater, NY. I have ZERO idea what they are doing with the info. Initially we thought he meant the actual Invasion of Normandy in 1944. Quite a reach from research on Kurdistan to a horse.

Normandy Invasion looks good though. Nice video of him here.

Victoria has spoken about him before on this BB as Fox Hill owned and raced the horse. I would imagine that if you contact her she can tell you much of what you want to know.

Thanks. I passed along enough info. The only mention I had of Fox Hill was they raced him and owned and sold the sister Butterscotch and appear to still own the other sister Gold Beach. My work in NY is done this week. I am heading out of NY next Monday no matter what. The stuff I sent him on NI will likely never even get looked at, like 90% of the stuff I get paid to do.

I've seen one report of a filly by Normandy Invasion. Foaled at Irish Hill Farms. I do not know who the mare is.

Thanks. I think they are going to Stillwater in next week or two to look at property and are going to just drive down and see him themselves. They are interested in NY breds now for some reason which I am guessing is all about their business plan they finally put together.

We own Butterscotch too. We put her in Saratoga but bought her back for $575k. Rick thought she was one of the best physicals in the sale and ultimately couldn't let her go.

As for Normandy, he's a 10. He's the male equivalent of Havre de Grace in the looks department. They have the same physical type and are the best looking female and male we've had in the barn.

Thanks. I will let him know. He doesn't really use email but one of the four of us can email for him. I think he is going to Gulfstream early next week and then flying to Albany next weekend to look at property in Stillwater. Don't be surprised if you get an email from Chris McPherson in 2 weeks. It could come from me (Chris O'Brien) if McPherson has to go to Hong Kong.

There are no conformation shots of him online, but you may find this video of his somewhat helpful:
