First 2yo sale on the horizon, and my initial review of the Hips was triggered by an article in today's TDN.

I'm finding the idea of a million $ filly pinhook by Curlin o/o a Poteen mare a bit ambitious.

It is pretty much impossible to make those kinds of proclamations without seeing the horses in person or at least the breezes (not to mention vet records). Since the under tack show is just happening today....

Because of lack of interest which is not uncommon for late foals. May 13.

I have no idea how this is an answer to my question, but thanks for trying. But I advise that you stop trying, because your original comment (as MM noted) makes no sense.

It really depends on the individual. Mohaymen was born on May 2. That has not stopped him from being a co-sale-topping yearling, racing successfully at 2 and being an early KY Derby favorite.

Well, he probably belonged in May to begin with. He is a very late foal. The pedigree is a FT Select type (TizNow out of Stakes winning Dynaformer mare but May 13 foals are 3 months behind many.

I think this is a more defensible position, although not always true. Wish you would have started with this.

Well, it's breeze yesterday was a disaster.

The Brocklebank horses were all over the map. The Unbridled's Song switched leads part way through. The Congrats took some serious beatings to get that 10.1. Curlin filly wasn't very smooth.

Well, it's breeze yesterday was a disaster.

And today, she's an OUT. They say a shin, but yeah.

They talk a little bit about those who got the 10 in it - I didn't see the breezes but I've seen a few comments now about that Bodemeister x Blossomed ?

This Bodemeisters made my short list too based on his work. I didn't see him back at the barn though,

Bodemeister is looking like he could be a very good producer (which wouldn't be shocking given his pedigree).
I took a look at those two colts and I like them, had to laugh at the shadow jumping. I like that the one out of Blossomed didn't need much urging and he has a huge stride. Seems green still about lead switch but once he did... super smooth. I also like the movement on the Queen Greeley filly.

Uncle Mo is turning out to be a break out sire which is startling and unexpected but certainly interesting to see how his offspring continue to perform.

I hope he continues with the great start to his stallion career and continues the Caro branch in the US. Who would have guessed that Indian Charlie would be as good a sire as he was? For Uncle Mo to come up and maybe fill his horseshoes is huge. Uncle Mo is free of Mr. Prospector, Seattle Slew and Storm Cat blood is also amazing and he seems to nick well with all of those lines.

I wish he had a more dignified name But yes, it would be absolutely outstanding if he could continue to display the dominance he has so far as a sire and give the Caro branch a brightly lit torch in the US.
